Format:
3 of 5 on roster play, skill level limit 15, $75 entry fee, 100% payback, double elimination, APA rules and handicaps apply. Must be active to participate.
Results:
1st place and $300 went to Killer Crabs from Crabby's Bar & Grill in Coal Valley.
2nd place and $150 went to TWTW from Reggies Fox Den in Davenport.
Killer Crabs team members were Todd Grube, Linda Wernigk, Paul F., and Doug Lanzen.
TWTW team members were
Justin Pence, Jeremy Cheek, Heather Adams, and Alicia Liske.
Other teams included DILLIGA (John N., Brad Williams, Tania Gustafson and Brad Stroops),
Hal's Misques (Linda Zinser, Jim Askelson and Steve Varner),
Hustlin (Chris F, Jeff F, Jimmy Goodknight, Josh G and Mike C), and
You Decide (Dwaine Adcock and Dona Breiby).
Ed Tomlinson traveled to the Serbian Social Center in Lansing, IL in early October to compete in the Regional round of the National Singles Tournament. Ed won rackless matches to make it to the semi-final where he was defeated. We're glad he had the opportunity to experience Regionals and bet he's planning on attending next time around. Congrats!

Congratulations to Jeremy Check and Justin Pence for great shooting in the APA US Open Pool Tournament. They played at Cuephoria in River Grove, IL. This site was one of 22 sites across the US holding the Open Tournament. Both has strong showings in 8-Ball but neither could seal the deal when it came to 9-Ball play. Those players that did win qualified to move on to the US Amateur Championships in Atlanta, GA in November.

With our 3rd LTC behind us it's only appropriate that we announce the 3 teams heading to Las Vegas for the National Team Championship and the 3 Doubles teams headed for their Championships. Congratulations to all the winners and all the participants...it's worth losing a few hours of sleep making sure you get to play more pool!
First place 8-Ball and $2,000 travel assistance went to Chillin' the Most. Team members include Team Captain Chad Lofgren, Co-Captain Chad Howell, Meghan Howell, Shane Born, Ray Martinez, Jason Franzenburg, Reid Pickering, and John Born.

Top Gun Tournament - Fall 2006
We held our 2nd Top Gun Tournament on Saturday March 31st. We had 20 players receive Top Gun Patches for their participation and there were several other players there to cheer them on. In the SL 2-4 bracket Dan McDermott won 1st place, a trophy and $70. Dona Breiby took 2nd and $50, Jimmy Goodknight took 3rd and $30 while Sean H. took 4th and $15. Others in the bracket included Chad Howell, Nick G., Amber Rossi, Von Buford, Nate Kennis, Tom Smith, Keith M., and Ed Tomlinson. In the SL 5-7 bracket Dave R. won 1st place, a trophy, and $60. Justin Pence took 2nd and $30 while Chris F. took 3rd and $20. Others in the bracket included Dan Stotmeister, Paul F., Chad Hagen, Dwaine Adcock, and Scott S.
3 on 3 Peoria, IL 
Justin Pence, Jeremy Cheek, and Alicia Liske drove down for the 3 on 3 tournament. Justin said they placed 6th out of 19 teams. CONGRATS. Unfortunately, payout only went to 4th. We talked about the possibility of maybe running a similar tournament in the Quad Cities. Shoot me an email and let me know your thoughts.
Fall 2006 Players' Banquet
We had a great turnout for the Fall 2006 players' banquet, affording us a chance to recognize players and teams for an outstanding fall session. We ate and/or drank all night long and most played in the 8-Ball tournament. Thanks for making it a great night! Thanks to Springbrook's Country Dining & Catering for a delicious meal and to the Wagon Wheel for being a great host location and adding money to the payout. Top winner was Jesse MacDonald and 2nd place went to Lee Jones.
Preregistered Championships - Jack & Jill 2007
On February 10th we held our 2nd Annual Jack & Jill "Valentine" Tournament. Teams of

Top Gun Tournament - Summer 2006

We held our first Top Gun Tournament on October 15th. In a Sudden Death match,
Josh Purcell ended up beating
Chris F. for the title and the trophy. They, along with
Dan Stotmeister, also walked away with some cash in their pockets! Congratulations guys!
Preregistered Championships - 2006
Teams of QC Hotshots (Mark Sloan and Roxanne H.) and Lucky Leave (Dennis Derby and Dona Breiby) went to Las Vegas in April to compete in the Jack & Jill 8-Ball Doubles Championship. The team of Dave Craft and Greg M. from On the Rox went to Vegas in August to compete in the 8-Ball Doubles Championship. The teams were not top finishers, but they all represented us well, had a great time, and look forward to the opportunity to go again.

APA in the QCA held our 2nd Annual Quad Cities Local Team Championships the weekend of June 10-11. Eight qualified teams participated in the two day tournament producing two teams qualifying to advance to the National Team Championships at the Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on August 18-26, 2006.
The first place team Bring It from Scott's Shovelhead Shed in Davenport, IA include Sasha, Lee, Vince, Steve, Justin, Jeremy, John, & Jeffrey. They beat out team AA from Stubbs Eddy in Bettendorf, IA in the final match three to one. AA team members include Nate, John H., Joe, Jim G., Jim C., John N., Jason, and Scot.
Other teams playing in the tournament include On the Rox II, The Naturals, Five Points Auto, Hollywood Dave's, Mis Que's, and On the Rox.

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
Throughout the year we run several tournaments available only to APA members. Some cash tournaments are open to all players while others are by invitation only, including our Captain/Co-Captain Tournament and Top Gun Tournament.
Others are offered for a chance to qualify for Championships in Las Vegas, including our Local Team Championships, Singles Qualifier Boards, Jack & Jill 8-Ball Doubles, 8-Ball Doubles Open, 9-Ball Doubles Open, and Triple Play Masters.
Our Singles Qualifier Board winners advance to a Regional event in either April or October, Regional winners advance to the National Singles Championship in Las Vegas in April 2007. At Nationals there are three Tiers and the winner in each Tier gets $15,000 in cash and prizes. Consider winning $15,000 from one minimal entry fee!
